01 — What we do
A full workshop, packed into a van.
Most repairs don't actually need a lift, a bay, or a waiting room. They need a mechanic, the right tools, and a couple of hours. That's the whole idea behind Madama: we load the van with the same equipment you'd find in a shop — jacks and stands, a full socket set, torque wrenches, a diagnostic scanner, a battery tester, an air compressor, brake tooling, fluids — and we bring it to wherever your car is sitting.
We work on all makes and models, gas and hybrid, from a 2004 Corolla with 340,000 km to a leased pickup that just threw a check-engine light. If a job genuinely needs a lift or a dealer-only tool, we'll tell you straight on the phone instead of taking your money and guessing.

Call and describe what the car is doing — the noise, the light, the smell, whether it turns over. We'll tell you what it likely is, what it'll cost, and whether it's worth doing in your driveway or needs to go somewhere with a hoist.

No-start & roadside rescue
Battery testing and replacement, boost, starter and alternator diagnosis, ignition and fuel-delivery faults. The most common call we get, and usually the fastest fix.

Brakes
Pads, rotors, calipers, brake lines, fluid flush, and the grinding or pulsing diagnosis that comes before all of it. Done with proper torque specs, not impact-gun guesswork.

Batteries & charging
Load-tested on the spot. If it's the battery, we install a new one and take the old one away. If it's the alternator draining it, we'll show you the meter reading before we quote anything.

Diagnostics & check-engine lights
Full OBD-II scan with live data, not just a code read. We trace the actual fault — sensor, wiring, vacuum leak, misfire — and explain it in plain language before you approve the work.

Oil, filters & fluids
Conventional, synthetic blend, or full synthetic, with the filter and a 20-point walkaround. Coolant, transmission fluid, power steering, and washer fluid topped up while we're there.

Tires & seasonal swaps
Flats repaired, spares fitted, winter-to-all-season swaps, and TPMS resets. We'll do it in your driveway or in the parking lot at work while you're inside.

Accessory belts, serpentine belts, tensioners, and the two components that strand the most people. We carry common fitments and source the rest same-day.

We come to the car
Driveway, condo garage, office lot, or roadside. We work, we show you the old parts, and we don't leave until it starts and runs the way it should.
If it's between midnight and 6 a.m., call anyway. Overnight is when we're busiest — dead batteries and no-starts mostly happen after dark.

Built for people whose day can't stop.
Madama started the way most mobile mechanic outfits do: one mechanic, one van, and a growing list of people who didn't have four hours to sit in a shop waiting room. Etobicoke is a hard place to own a car — street parking, condo garages, a commute that eats the whole day, and shops that close at five. A car that won't start on a Tuesday morning isn't an inconvenience here, it's a lost shift.
So we built the business around the driveway instead of the bay. Same tools, same standards, same torque specs — just no building. We work in the cold, we work in the rain, and we work at 3 a.m., because that's when people actually need us.
What we won't do is pad a job. If your brakes have another 20,000 km in them, we'll say so. If the noise is a $40 heat shield and not a $1,400 transmission, you'll hear that too. Word of mouth in this neighbourhood is the only advertising we've ever needed, and it only works if we're straight with people.

If you can, have the ownership or insurance slip handy, make sure the car is in Park or gear with the handbrake on, and leave the hood release accessible. If you're on a road, put your hazards on and stay behind the barrier or off the shoulder — we'll find you.
